Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to give you access and run the Service:
- Discord account data — when you connect Discord, we receive your Discord user ID, username, and email address, and permission to add you to our server and manage your role.
- Contact & order data — the email address you use at checkout and your subscription status.
- Payment data — processed by Stripe. We receive a customer reference and payment status; we never see or store your full card details.
- Technical data — limited information such as your IP address and basic device/browser information, used for security and to operate the Service.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and manage your access, including adding you to the Discord server and assigning or removing your members' role.
- To process payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds through Stripe.
- To send you service-related messages (for example, access confirmations and important account notices).
- To provide support, prevent abuse, and keep the Service secure.
Discord Data & Our Bot
Our bot only uses the Discord permissions you approve. We store your Discord ID, username, and the access token needed to add you to the server and manage your role while your subscription is active. We do not read your private messages or access servers other than our own. Your use of Discord is also governed by Discord's Privacy Policy.
Payment Processing
All payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are encrypted and processed on their secure systems. We do not store full card numbers. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run BopsFlix, and only as needed:
- Discord — to deliver access and manage roles.
- Stripe — to process payments.
- Email and hosting/database providers — to send service messages and store account records securely.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the Service.
Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as you have an account or an active subscription, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention needs. You can ask us to delete your data (see "Your Rights").
Cookies
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to keep it working and to understand usage. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email us at [email protected] and we'll respond as required by law.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under 13, or under the minimum age required to use Discord in their country. We do not knowingly collect information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed, and continued use of the Service means you accept the current version.
